Pam here — and today, I’m handing the mic (and maybe a chew toy) over to my two favorite redhead sidekicks: Alfie and Gracie, the real stars behind our Wicked Paws line. 🐶✨
If you’ve ever lit a candle and had your pup sniff the air like, “Excuse me, what is that?” — this one’s for you. At Wicked Redhead, we believe creating a cozy, aromatic home shouldn’t come at the expense of our pets’ health. So we’ve sniffed out the facts, tested the blends, and built an entire pet-safe collection with our golden doodles’ approval.
🦴 Sniff This, Not That: Pet-Safe Fragrance 101
Not all scents are safe for pets — especially essential oils like tea tree, eucalyptus, or clove. But don’t worry, you don’t have to give up a beautifully scented home. We use only pet-friendly fragrance blends in our Wicked Paws products and offer clear scent guidance for candles and sprays.

🕯️ Can I Burn Candles Around My Dog?
Short answer: yes — if you know what’s in them.
We get it — candles set the mood, calm the senses, and smell amazing. But some mass-produced candles are full of synthetic junk that can irritate pets’ respiratory systems. That’s why we hand-pour every single Wicked Blend candlewith clean-burning wax and carefully selected scents, including pet-friendlier ones like:
- Cotton Veil
- Wicked Calm (lavender–vanilla base)
- Coastal Mist

🐾 Alfie & Gracie’s House Rules
- Never spray strong room sprays near pets. Use a bed or toy refresher spray made for them.
- Keep candles up high. Tails and noses are curious things.
- Open a window. Fresh air is a fur-friend’s best friend.
- Check labels. If it’s not pet-safe, it’s not worth the risk.
- Bonus rule from Gracie: Belly rubs = required.
