Starting a handcrafted brand sounds dreamy—candles, soaps, sugar scrubs, and creative freedom—but the reality? It was messy, scrappy, and one of the most rewarding journeys we’ve ever taken.
Wicked Redhead was born in Cape Coral, Florida, from a blend of passion, necessity, and a bit of wicked sass. My husband and I weren’t just the makers—we were the designers, marketers, label printers, web developers, and customer support team. There was no big budget, no design agency, and no shortcut to success. Just us and a whole lot of determination.
Our Biggest Challenge: Branding on a Budget
We knew from the beginning that we wanted Wicked Redhead to stand out. But creating a polished, cohesive brand identity with no professional design help proved to be a serious challenge.
Misaligned labels, slow website performance from heavy plugins, and a steep learning curve forced us to rethink everything. Rather than compromise our vision, we taught ourselves the tools we needed.
